The Australian team has just two friendlies before the start of the World Cup in Brazil. In their group with Spain, the Nederlands and Chile they are big underdog, but I am sure they will give everything to gain a few points and not to end up in last position. Since the team is playing in Asian World Cup qualification as part of the Asian Football Confederation the team could qualify all three times (2006, 2010, 2014). Although the Golden Generation of Australian Football with players like Kewell or Schwarzer is finding an end, there are still experienced players like Cahill, Jedinak or Wilkshire in the current squad who are a good part of the team and also introduce younger players into the international team. Some of these are Oar, Ryan or McGowan, who are earning there money outside of the Australian A-League and are key players in the clubs. South Africa has not qualified for WC in Brazil, because there are many stronger teams in African Qualification. In the world ranking they are 65th (six points behind Australia). Usually the odds would be 50-50 on Australia win and X2, but under this conditions Odds are dropping on the home team. South African Coach Isegund nominated 18 players for the match to travel to Sydney, but 11(!) of them are not available (because of injuries, or because the club won´t let them go for this friendly (although the season is over)). Under these players, there are key players (some of them are playing in international leagues) like Parker (Kaizer Chiefs/ATT/68 games for national team/23 goals for national team), Tshabalala (Kaizer Chiefs/OFFMID/CAP/71/10), Khune (Kaizer Chiefs/GK/55), Dikgacoi (Crystal Palace/DEFMID/48/2), Xulu (Rostov/DEF/4). So there will be a squad with just three players who are playing in international clubs. 15 of the new 18-man-squad are having under 10 international team appearences. For me the situation is clear. Australia, with their last home game before travelling to Brazil. They are motivated and every player wants to present himself for the line up in Brazil. The team will play completly motivated against an South African team which is most parts from domestic league, without much international experience.
Colombia Primera A division match between the teams on Atletico Nacional and Junior . This is the match revenge for the final Apertura . The first match ended with negative 0:1 lose on Atletico Nacional which is the favorite in this couple , but the goal on Toloza makes the revenge really interesting and really hard for Atletico Nacional because Junior played well on counter attacks . This is the same situtaion as the semifinal and the lose for Atletico Nacional 0:1 versus Club Santa Fe , but the revenge was strong for Atletico Nacional and the team won 2;0 with the goals on Valencia and Duque and reached the final . The team on Junior is with more tough battle on semifinal eliminated in two scoreless draws Millonarios and penalties 5:4 .Today is a different challenge for Junior because their team lose in the last 10 visits on Atletico Nacional and the last result different of lose was 2007 year . My call is home win 2:0,3:1
Two teams, who are close to relegation will face each other on Tuesday (the game date was set today, but after continuous rain the match is set on Tuesday). Steyr on 13th spot, which means they are on spot above relegation zone will host the second team of Bundesliga club Wolfsberg AC (WAC). But 7 points deficit to Steyr seems much, with only three games left to play. In the last weeks I was betting twice against Steyr, but now I completly changed my mind? No. But one big problem of Steyr is gone. The most injured or questionable players are back in the team and fit. Especially the two offensive players Djokic and Dimic bring many opportunities into the offensive game of Steyr. Steyr won the last two games against teams who are in their area of the table as the could beat Vöcklamarkt (12.) with 3-1 and Villacher SV (14.) with 1-4 away win. Both games were decided in first half, when Steyr took the lead with 2-0 or 3-0. In both games Djokic could score, but also Dimic, Masovic and former Erste Liga player Popp showed good performances. So there are two wins in a row for Steyr and this gives the team a lot of self confidence. The team changed in their way the play after the first win and seems to have fun again. Also the fan support was big (for Regionalliga conditions) after the first win and a expect the same for this home game, as Steyr can come a place in next years Regionalliga Mitte much closer. WAC II is on a really bad trip at the time. 0-1-5 in the last six games, losing the last two games 5-0 (away) against Allerheiligen (11.) and 0-3 at home vs Lafnitz (3.). Last weekend they had to play against Allerheiligen, at team that also wanted to avoid relegation (now they are save). In the first half WAC II had a bit more of the game, but the counterattacks from Allerheiligen weren´t defended well and so WAC II was 2-0 in the back at half time. Then WAC II had to take more risk, but Allerheiligen scored again. In the end WAC II was one man down after a brutal foul and Allerheiligen had more chances and WAC II lost 5-0. During the week WAC II had to play against one of the best teams in this league at the time. Lafnitz was their oppnent and the result of 0-3 for Lafnitz shows perfectly, how the game was. Their was no chance to win this for WAC II. Before this game vs Lafnitz also the coach was fired and now they hope for an effect was big for the last game, but as mentioned they lost. After four days more of work for the new coaches Jochum and Messner, with the team, maybe the situation will change, but I don´t think so.For me the home win has definetly value as the team of Steyr has a good run and self confidence again. WAC II is a very young team and I don´t think they can come back in this season and this game vs full motivated Steyr players will be really tough for them. (The bookies still have today as match day, so maybe they will change or take the bet out and offer it new again in the next days).
An early bet, but I think that until the weekend the odds won't be higher than 1.90 and therefore I'm taking this one early.Just a month ago, Guingamp was sitting easily around the middle of the table, way ahead of the relegation zone, but in this last month the things turned totally, as after a terrible run of five consecutive defeats and a great run from Sochaux in the same time, they are now sitting just two points ahead of the danger zone and the three points in this game are without an alternative. Sochaux have much better schedule in the last four rounds and with home games versus Valenciennes and Toulouse and away matches versus Monaco and Marseille, Guingamp need to look for the maximum six points from their two matches at Stade de Roudourou to have a chance of keeping their place. The team is playing awful in the league recently and there is no question about that, but in the cup game versus Monaco they showed that can perform much better and I think that this weekend they will manage to show their good face on the pitch. The reaching of the cup final is a great success for sure, but if they did not manage to keep their elite status, this won't matter much for Guingamp and all the good work in the cup will be worthless. Valenciennes had a much win game versus Nantes this weekend, but instead of collecting the three points, they were just trashed with 2:6 at home and with that more or less proved that have no power to fight for their place in Ligue1. The difference from the safety zone and Guingamp is now six points and everything else but the three points for the visitors will mean relegation, but also with matches against Bordeaux, Monaco and Toulouse coming after that, I see no shot for them to keep their elite status at all. Valencinnes lost three times in a row, as well as collected just one point from their last five Ligue1 matches (0-1-4), losing their two must win games at home versus Ajaccio and Nantes and after the awful performances in this two games, here I can't see them making something as well.
The first game of the semifinals Europe League play Sevilla and Valencia . Sevilla is an excellent form lately , playing really really well and I was here ace more than likely . Looking at the last game against Porto , when they were outclassed in a rematch quarterfinals with 4-1, can truly say that Sevilla should not have major problems in this match against Valencia . They play in the Spanish examples mint . They are located on the 5th place and fight for that 4th place , which leads to qualification for the Champions League . In the Spanish league they have 3 wins in a row , and in the last round are highly Granada defeated at home 4-0 . Velencia has passed away, after they got a huge backlog against Basel 3 goals difference . To be in overtime gave two more goals , but with two more players , because the Basel got two red cards and so facilitate the work of Valencia . Valencia in the Spanish league game quite variable . They are located on the 8th place without any major prospects for further progress . In Spanish Primera they have 12 wins , 9 draws and 13 defeats , while guests play very badly , with 3 wins , 6 draws and 8 defeats even . Valencia played quite poorly against Sevilla in their field . The last time they won in Sevilla 09.05.2004. and since then have played 12 matches in which Valencia did not win . Of those 12 matches Sevilla celebrated even in 9 games . All in all Sevilla is better shape , playing at home against Valencia + tradition on their side , and if we add the full stadium and great support from the home crowd , then we can expect victory of Sevilla , which will after this match to gain advantage on the next match on Mestalla.
It is ever a bit a risk to bet on motivations in GB's leagues, because every team plays till the end in a serious way. But Bolton could concede itself a bit of relax, with safety gained after only one defeat and seven wins in last 13 rounds. On the contrary, for Leicester this match has a great importance: after many years with promotion as target then failed, winning here they will be champions and promoted in next season Premier League. About absences, Bolton with Kamara ( mdif.30+5 2g) and Hutton ( def.9) that will be checked before the match, while Davies ( midf.14+4 1g) is injuried and Pratley ( midf.19+1 2g), Tierney ( def.8) and Riley and Holden are long term injuried. Leicester without second scorer Vardy ( 16g) and Schlupp ( midf.15+11 1g) So, two important absences affect the guests more then many long term injuried that not influenced great last performances of Bolton, but, as i said, motivations could give something more to Leicester's play, already good ( undefeated for lot of months.
